Warranty Information

-10 Year Warranty on Internal Mechanism- Ekornes Guarantees the internal mechanism of its recliners for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase of the product. The 10 Year Guarantee covers the Plus System and the internal metal frame, including the the metal springs and gliding system. It does not cover damage to the leather, woodwork or any faults or damage caused by the use of the product other than in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, as well as any faults or damage arising from any repairs made by any persons not authorized by the manufacturer. -5 Year Warranty on the base- The 5 year warranty covers the base for the chair and ottoman, including the swivel ring, gas lift, extensions as well as all foam and interior padding in the chair and ottoman. Also includes electronic parts and motor for LegComfort mechanism and all accessories. Please note that some deformation and indention in padding is considered normal and is part of a break-in process. -2 Year warranty on LegComfort Battery. -1 Year warranty on leather or fabric upholstery- The 1 Year warranty covers the leather or fabric upholstery including stitching and zippered assemblies assuming that the product has been cared and maintained using Ekornes approved guidelines for maintaining leather furniture. *This warranty only protects you when you purchase an Ekornes product from an Ekornes authorized retailer (e.g. The Unwind Company and Unwind.com). This warranty only applies when you have purchased Ekornes Furniture for your own normal indoor use. This warranty does not cover floor samples or products designated "As Is" at the time of purchase. **The Ekornes warranty covers the cost and shipping of replacement parts. Replacing our first Consul chair purchased over 25 years ago. We are still using the older one but we wanted to replace w 2 new ones since we are redecorating and wanted the Dove Gray with Wenge wood.. Custom ordered so we’d I’d wait but delighted

My gorgeous new custom chair was delivered today. and I could not be more pleased. I chose the Paloma leather in Oxford Blue - it's beyond gorgeous and oh, so comfortable! The service from The Unwind Company was excellent, they kept me informed and up to date on the construction process in Norway, and advised me when it had arrived in the US. Initially was told it might take 80 days to build and ship, but arrived after just 60 days. It was shipped to me by ABF in first class condition and delivered White Glove inside my house, unpacked, and all the packing materials removed. Very impressed with everything, and delighted to recommend.

I prefer the consul recliner over many of the over-stuffed recliners by ekorns. I think this one will hold its supportive positioning better over the long run as well.

My husband and I love our Consul recliners. We have 2 in our living room which we ordered and received very quickly from Unwind. This was the 3rd time we have ordered from them and they have yet to let us down. I'm hoping these chairs will last for the next 25 years.

I love my Ekorns Consul, but in the back of my head I'm still dreaming of the day I can afford an upgrade to a soft, plush mayfair chair. I like the batick leather and it has held up well over the last 2 years. I do think the paloma leather is definitely softer and smoother. Overall, I love my consul!
