Ekornes Stressless Replacement Glide Wheel

Restore the smooth, gliding motion of your favorite Stressless recliner!

Choose the quantity of glide wheel casings that you need:

Quantity of 1- Single for left or right side of chair.
Quantity of 2- For both left and right side of chair.
Quantity of 4- To replace both the left and right sides of 2 chairs

Remember that Ekornes changed the glide wheels around the year 2000 (sometime between 2000-2002), so Stressless chairs produced at this time or before will not be compatible with this Glide Wheel. We have however, heard from customers that the glide wheels from earlier models can often be found "used" from local directory listing or auction sites.

I purchased my Stressless chair in the 1990’s. We just changed the the color of the bases to better match the color of our new home. In the process of disassembly I discovered my glide wheel was in need of replacement. My search on the internet brought me to The new upgrade glide wheel fit perfectly and the bolt covers add a nice finishing touch.

    EXACT Replacement for Stressless Recliner

Published by MartyMart on 14th Jun 2021

My nearly 20 year old Stressless was in need of service. Springs had broken in the seat; it make a loud "klack" when I sat down; and, the side lock glides had fallen apart and didn't lock the chair in position, any more. I found springs and replaced. When replacing the springs, I found one of the pivot screws that connects the back and seat had fallen out. Re-securing fixed the "klack". So, I was left with the poor position-fixing knobs on both sides. This part was EXACTLY the right replacement! It REQUIRES a T45 screwdriver or socket adaptor to remove the old screw, and tighten the new screw. The included T45 bolt rides above the glide rail when installing, so that the plastic grips are placed on the underside of the bolt. Installation is pretty quick, about 5-10 minutes per side. AND, THEY WORK GREAT!! My chair is back to like-new operation!
