Ekornes Touch-Up Dye for Stressless Furniture

Need to touch-up some scratches or scrapes on your Stressless Recliner or Ekornes furniture? The Ekornes Touch-up paint/dye is an original OEM product from Ekornes in Norway and is designed to perfectly match the selected leather color of your Stressless furniture.

It normally arrives from Ekornes in a small tube (as shown above) or in a small jar that holds slightly less than 2 ounces. If your recliner or sofa has widespread damage, please consider replacing the leather instead. You can order Ekornes cut leather here:

Excellent! Perfect match. Delay of two months between placing and receiving product excessive.

    Stressless chair touch-up paint

Published by Rachel on 14th Jan 2021

The touch-up paint definitely did work. Having read another review that it left splotches where you touched up, I was careful to use a tiny amount using a toothpick to dab the little scratches In the leather. I then wiped the spots with a dry cloth. Its best to use as little paint as you can and blot afterwards. Even wiping left some barely noticeable spots. The scratches were done by my cat before I realized how easily the leather could be scratched. My chair is blue so the scratches were probably more obvious than on a brown or tan. At any rate, the chair does look much better.

    Touch up paint

The product finally arrived yesterday. First observation was that we got very little paint (maybe 1/8 inch in the bottom of the bottle) considering the cost of $53 with shipping. The color match was pretty good. We applied it to the creases that were darkened on the cream colored leather plus a bit around it to blend in the edges. After it dried, it just made the problem worse as dots in the surrounding area showed up that I’m guessing are hair follicles in the leather. We feel bad replacing the chair because the rest of it is just fine as is the mate to it. Since the chairs we have are no longer available, our choices will be to tolerate the flaw or purchase two different chairs. Just can’t recommend this product.
